Only 5 minutes away from the airport Juan Santamaría, you will find the hotel Airport Costa Rica B&B. Surrounded by natural beauty, you will be able to enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast at this place. For this reason, we invite you to take advantage of this region to visit and enjoy of the most popular touristic destinations in Costa Rica.

The following day of staying at the hotel, the guide will pick you up to head to the Poás Volcano National Park, which is known for being active and having one of the biggest craters in the world. The duration of the activity and visit depends on the place’s administration, which can last from 20 to 40 minutes. Next, near the park, you will visit the strawberry farm (fruit that is very common in the area because of its weather). In this farm, its guide will inform you about the cultivation, characteristics, peculiarities of strawberries. In addition, you will be able to enjoy a delicious strawberry shake and a ride in an oxcart. During the ride, the guide will tell some of the traditional legends of Costa Rica’s culture.

After the ride, you will head to El Redil to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. You will also be able to see barnyard animals at this place. After having finished lunch, you will go back to downtown Alajuela, which is the “City of Mangoes”. You will learn more about this tittle and the town during the tour. You will also visit the Monument to Juan Santamaría, our 1856 hero, the Municipal Theater, the Cultural Center, the central park, and the Historical Museum Juan Santamaría. These places will allow you to appreciate the architectural buildings that are part of the center of Alajuela.

You will spend another night at the Airport Costa Rica B&B hotel. The following day after breakfast, the guide will again pick you up to take you to Sarchí, which is the town home to handicrafts. There, a city tour through the city full of handicraft shops and carts awaits you. In addition, you will meet William, and he will give you some painting lessons. After these activities, you will visit Hacienda Espíritu Santo to learn about the process of sowing, harvesting, roasting, and packaging coffee. You will be able to enjoy an excellence award winning cup of coffee. You will have lunch prepared by Flor, known for being an amazing cook, at the theme park Los Arroyos.

The next city tour covers a route from Naranjo to San Ramón. You will visit the Museum José Figueres Ferrer, San Ramón’s church, the Monument to Education, Commemorative Monument to Herdsmen, and the municipal market where you will enjoy the “chinchivi” drink. You will also visit the hotel of bees and learn the reasoning behind the town of San Ramón being declared a “bee-friendly town”. That same night, you will stay at the hotel of the town: La Posada. This hotel has been certified for being eco-friendly and sustainable.

The following day after you have breakfast, the guide will meet you at the hotel to take you to San Luis. At this place, you will be able to enjoy a tour that involves hanging bridges and canopy. Subsequently, you will head to Volio to learn about the process of craft beer while enjoying some side dishes and beer samples.
